How this is worked out
iA rise in crude oil reaches the pump over the following weeks, and only the
oil part of the price moves: fuel duty is a fixed number of pence, so pump prices swing less
than crude does. The "$1 on a barrel" figure is what a move in oil is worth per litre. It is
not a prediction of what your forecourt will charge.
