Four South Wales groups receive energy funding
Welsh Government has announced that four organisations in Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend will receive over £1.5 million. The funding supports clean energy projects under the Ynni Cymru programme.
Welsh Government has awarded more than £1.5 million to four organisations across Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend. These projects form part of the Ynni Cymru programme, which supports clean energy initiatives across Wales. The funding aims to help recipients cut energy bills and support local people.
The four local projects are included in a wider group of 24 organisations across Wales that will receive £8.27 million in total. This amount represents the third round of the programme. Afanti Media is among the recipients, having been awarded £668,558 to expand battery-powered systems at events.
The funded projects cover various sectors, including culture, community services, business and recycling. The money is intended to assist organisations in managing their energy costs while providing benefits to the communities they serve. No specific timelines for the implementation of these projects were stated in the announcement.
