The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office has published updated travel advice for the Seychelles, including guidance on responding to extreme weather. The department advises travellers to hold valid passports and obtain travel authorisation before departure.
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office has updated its travel advice for the Seychelles to include specific information on how to respond to extreme weather. The guidance directs travellers to ensure they have appropriate insurance that covers their itinerary and planned activities. Passports must remain valid for the entire duration of the stay in the country.
Visitors do not require a visa but must obtain a travel authorisation before travelling. Applications for this authorisation can be made online up to 30 days before arrival. Upon arrival, visitors receive a permit valid for 3 months. The initial 3-month visitor’s permit is free of charge.
Extensions to the visitor’s permit last for 3-month periods. A fee is charged for the 3-month extension period. The maximum total period for a visitor’s permit, including extensions, is 12 months.
