FCDO adds Electronic Travel Authorisation details to Kazakhstan advice
Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office says it has added Electronic Travel Authorisation information to the Kazakhstan travel advice page. It says visitors can enter without a visa for up to 30 days for business or tourism.
Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office says it has updated the travel advice for Kazakhstan to include details about Electronic Travel Authorisation. The update specifically concerns people travelling on a full ‘British citizen’ passport from the UK.
It says the passport must be valid for at least 30 days from the date of arrival and have at least one blank page. If holding a visa, the passport expiry date must be at least 3 months after the visa’s expiry date. Visitors can enter Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 30 days for business or tourism.
It says visitors must not stay more than 90 days without a visa in any 180-day period. The advice notes that Kazakhstan does not recognise dual nationality, and holding another passport may result in fines or withdrawal of Kazakh citizenship.
The announcement does not state when the Electronic Travel Authorisation system will become mandatory for entry, nor does it provide details on the application process or fees.
